How do u take off fake nails?

its so annoying. i got them done at the salon (first time) and i wont b able 2 go back there to get them off. their glued on real good. i cant just break them off. wat do i do? thankx!!How do u take off fake nails?
buy nail polish remover with acetone in it. the fake nails should kind of ';melt'; off.How do u take off fake nails?
Soak them in Nail Polish Remover or acetone. That is how I take off mine.
soak them in pure acetone
I had the same problem. Just go to any salon supply (open to the public) or any store like Walmart, etc. In Walmart I found a ';acetone'; polish remover/acrylic nail remover. If you soak them in acetone polish remover it will take a little longer. Good luck.
Pop a movie in a put your hands in a bowl of warm sudsy water.
whatever you do, DO NOT try to pull or pry them off. Acetone nail polish remove will help dissolve the glue holding them on you nails.
Well its probably starting to grow out and need to be filled, You could file it your self and clean up the area that is not looking good, you will start seeing areas that look like its lifting off from your nail means its growing, so you will need to use your file and file down on it, just to smooth it over and try buffing it smooth until you are not seeing any flaws.
Take a cotton ball and wet it with nail polish remover. Place the wet (not dripping wet) cotton ball on the nail, and then wrap the fingertip with aluminum foil to keep the cotton ball in place. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes and then carefully try to remove the nail. The acetone in the nail polish remover dissolves and softens the acrylic (plastic) that the nails are made of.
Go to the beauty supply store and get Pure Acetone i works better then just nail polish remover. Don't just rip em off you will ruin you nails..
okay one good way is to jsut poor some nail polish remover into a litte saucer/dish and lay your fingers in it so that the nail polish remover get around the nails.. keep then in there for a few minutes. and then the glue will be lossendfrom the alchohol in the polish remover anmd you can pull the nails off.. becareful if you have cuts on your fingers! it will sting for a minute.. but it goes away fast!
put your hands in hot water then dry them and soak them in nail remover polisher.
If you wont go back to the Salon to do it. Bite them off. Then get a 4-way buffer to fix up the torn up looking nails.
put u'r fingers in nail polish remover n then stick u'r nail under the fake 1 n scrap it off!!!!!

see if that works hope it does

鈾?kels
Soke them in hot water put acohol ,green acohol in it. Make sure the water is hot.
Trim them back to the edge of your finger -

File the tops of your nail, carefully, as to not go thru your own nail surface. . . then just wait for the nails to grow out/off - takes about 3 months to grow mostly new nails. . . be patient.

Edit: Before using acetone (everyone on here is telling you to do this) - READ THE WARNINGS on the label . . . this stuff is very dangerous, and harmful . . . be careful, please.
run them under hot water

or sometimes when you leave them on for a few weeks they come off alone
get Acetone nail polish remover it's mad just for acrylic nails! i had that same problem last year!
Acetone nail polish remover in the jar with the spongey thing in it with a hole. Just immerse each finger in it till the nail dissolves.
1. Get pure acetone (from your local beauty supply store not polish remover...not enough acetone), Orange wood sticks, tin foil, Vaseline and cotton balls

2. Trim tin foil into strips about 2'; by 6';

3. Rub Vaseline or cuticle oil on your fingers around nail (not on nail) to prevent excess absorbtion

4. Saturate a cotton ball with the actone and place over nail

5. Wrap foil around finger and cotton

6. Allow to sit for a good 20-30 minutes

7. Remove foil and cotton, and gently slough off dissolved acrylic.

8. Repeat as needed until all acrylic is removed.

9. Repeat on other hand.

Be careful with the acetone. It will ruin your clothes, furniture and your table if you spill!

Doing it this way will prevent you from breathing fumes or absorbing harmful acetone through the skin.

Running hot water over them will not remove them

This is how they will do it in a salon. AS long as they used NAIL acrylic, this will work. If they used dental acrylic or MMA, the only way is to let them grow out. Do not peel, pry or nip them off. That will damage the natural nail, often permanently!
soak in regular nail polish remover, and using an orange stick, gently loosen the fake nails a little at a time soaking in between. I did this when I wore fake nails and it always worked even if I used super glue instead of the nail glue that came with them!
